Lead Data Engineer

Herndon VA (Hybrid 3 days onsite)

Must have active Secret clearance or Higher.

Position Overview:

Navitas Business Consulting is seeking a Data Engineer to support one of our flagship contracts in the DC Metro Area. We are seeking a candidate that lives in DC Metro able to operate on the East Coast hours.

On-site requirements are three days a week with occasional travel to Washington DC for required meetings.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and support a platform providing secured access to large datasets.
• Interface with multiple business customers, gather requirements, and deliver complete data solutions.
• Architect and develop end to end scalable data infrastructure and data pipelines.
• Build tools and services to support data discovery, lineage, resiliency, and privacy compliance across the data platform.
• Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions.
• Develop ETL pipeline that links various datasets that could serve the analysis objectives in the most efficient way.
• Analyze and solve problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context.
• Knowledge and understanding of a broad range of Amazon s and AWS's data resources and know when, how, and which to use and which not to use.
• Keep up to date with advances in big data technologies and run pilots to design the data architecture to scale with the increased data volume using AWS.
